PROPERLY CARE FOR YOUR VEHICLE WRAPS & LETTERING TO MAXIMIZE ROI
Vehicle Graphics Represent Your Business and Your Brand
Your wrapped vehicles can be the first impression prospective customers have of your brand. They are a direct reflection of your business. What kind of service would you expect from a company who doesn’t care enough to keep their vehicles clean? By taking care of your vehicles graphics and keeping them clean, you project the care you take in operating your business and servicing your customers.
The Environment Can Harm Your Vehicle Graphics
Like auto paint, prolonged exposure to sun or pollutants can deteriorate vinyl surfaces. This is especially true on horizontal surfaces like roofs, hoods and trunks. These areas can sometimes trap chemicals on their surface, increasing UV exposure, resulting in less durability.
Carbon Fiber Car Wrap – Keep it Clean!
Vinyl vehicle wraps can hold up very well for 7-10 years if cared for properly.
To extend the life and appearance of your vinyl wrap, be sure to follow these 3 simple steps:
Always keep your wrapped vehicle clean.
Keep your wrapped vehicle out of direct sun by parking in covered areas, whenever possible.
Cover your vehicle at night to protect it from dew, rain or snow.
Here are some important Do’s and Don’ts for cleaning your wrapped vehicle:
DO:
* Use a mixture of clean water and mild car wash or detergent such as Dawn®, Joy®, or Ivory® to wash the vehicle/graphics
* Test the cleaning solution on a small section of the vinyl graphic before using on the entire vehicle/graphic
* Rinse thoroughly with clean water after washing
* Air dry or use a microfiber cloth to dry the vehicle
DON’T:
* Use automated truck/car washes, power washers or mechanical brush washing to clean your vehicle
* Allow fuels to be in contact with the vinyl graphics; clean any splashes or spills immediately
Suggested Care:
We highly recommend using Avery Dennison® Power Cleaner to clean any stains on your vehicle graphics (consistently, as needed) and use the Avery Dennison® Sealant on your graphics after each cleaning (as often as possible) to thoroughly seal your vehicle wraps for longer-lasting color.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT WAXING: You can wax your wrapped vehicle if the wax does not contain petroleum distillates. Waterless wash and wax combination cleaners are a good choice if the vehicle does not have a matte finish and isn’t excessively dirty, as matte finishes are prone to showing more dirt than others. You can spot-clean matte film vinyl graphics with a 50/50 mix of isopropyl alcohol and water.
Keeping your vinyl graphics clean will extend their life and quality, ensure your brand always looks great, and maximize your return on investment!
